The UEFA coaching pathway is fully accessible to candidates from all continents. Your nationality does not disqualify you; however, your chosen federation’s visa and residency rules and your coaching background are the critical factors.
Eligibility (The UEFA C Start): While the UEFA B, A, and Pro licenses have strict prerequisite pathways, the UEFA C License is the best starting point. Most federations have fewer restrictions on who can apply for the “C” course.
Visa and Travel Strategy: You will be applying as a short-term student for the practical blocks. Ensure you understand the Schengen/EU visa requirements for the country you select.
Required Experience: Even for the UEFA B License, you must document specific coaching hours and experience with a recognized team. This experience is often transferable from your home country (e.g., USSF, CONMEBOL, AFC).
